Presentation1

The conference will be held at the Ovidius University of Constanta, close to the summer resort of Mamaia. Constanta is one of the largest cities of Romania, and the most important industrial, commercial and cultural center of the south-eastern part of the country. The city has always been a center of ethnic and spiritual diversity, a pole of economic exchanges in the Black Sea region and in South-Eastern Europe. Constanta is located 220 km east of Bucharest, over the ruins of the ancient Tomis. Place of exile for the roman poet Ovidius, the city was rebuilt in the IV-th century by the Byzantine emperor Constantine the Great, who renamed it Constantiana. A continuator of ancient traditions of culture and civilization, the city benefits now from a rich historical heritage and spiritual life, with numerous museums and archeological sites. Located between the Black Sea and the Mamaia Lake, the resort is probably the best summer destination of Romania. Two hours north of Constanta is the Danube Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, paradise for natural life.
